Christians Actively Reaching Everyone
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12
The East Bethel Counseling Ministry has a vision: A Committed Body of Christ in the bond of love enjoying God’s presence “with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:2-3) It is this vision that causes us to strive to be the most loving and hospitable, the most sensitive and effective, and the most caring and encouraging body of believers.
What is our Counseling Ministry? It is a phone call or text message, or a card in the mailbox from someone just letting you know that he/she is thinking of you. It is a lunch date with someone who has a wise heart and a listening ear willing to empathize with a spiritual struggle. It is a mobile force ready to take up the needs of those who have lost loved ones, undergone surgery or experienced difficult tragedy, providing food, consolation, transportation and any other need as it may arise.
The Counseling Ministry of East Bethel serves to connect each member in the local church body. The goal is to foster a small church atmosphere in a large church setting. Reaching out, loving and making sure all needs in the group are being addressed is the objective of each leader. We don’t want anyone to feel left out or forgotten.
Our Counseling Ministry plays an important role in our church’s outreach & in reach efforts. Our Counseling Team provide prayerful support for all first-time visitors as well as current members of our church. The Counseling Ministry attempts to incorporate all attendees into the life and ministries of our Church.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Cor 1:3-4
The General Mission of East Bethel Counseling Ministry is stated as follows: “We are making disciples to evangelize the world to increase the growth of the Kingdom of God.” Our specific mission is to promote Christian maturity. Christian maturity is developed by dealing with any immediate problem or circumstance in a manner consistent with Scripture and developing an inward character which conforms to the attitudes, beliefs and purposes of Christ.
DISAPPOINTMENTS ARE INEVITABLE; DISCOURAGEMENT IS A CHOICE
Recognizing that disappoints in our lives are inevitable, the members of the Counseling Ministry are available to encourage you and pray with you during the difficult times in your life. We want to help you to realize that circumstances do not control you; you never have to be the victim of your feelings. We encourage you to choose to look to God and listen, learn, and move ahead to the blessings that God has available for you. We encourage you to read Psalm 27:1.
You may contact the Counseling Ministry, Dr. Deloris Nelson (Licensed Professional Counselor) or any member of her staff at 713-747-2534 Church Office.
East Bethel Men’s ministry is a ministry dedicated to helping men be the Godly men God calls us to be. A Godly man is a servant, not a slavemaster. Being a spiritual leader does not mean dominating your family. It means serving your family, and being a Godly example to your wife and children.
The Mission the Ministry is to provide men with resources to develop Godly character, and to equip them to influence their world for Christ. Becoming a Christian is not a destination; it is the beginning of a life-long journey.
“The Man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.”
Men’s Ministry meet 2nd Wednesdays of every month from 7-8 pm.

Fire Life, the refining and equipping ministry of EBC for young adults
Fire Life is a ministry designed to illuminate our young adults so that (i) they will be devoted to the willing propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with joy, (ii) that God through the power of the Holy Spirit will draw their peers to Him, and (iii) that they might make disciples of those their age to become solid, productive, living example of Christians.
Scriptures: Isaiah 48:10
“ Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.”
“ And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God”
Free You, the execution ministry in which our young adults will actively work in Ministry.
Scripture: Luke 4:18
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised”
The Heart of a Praise Dancer & Mime Ministry
A Praise Dancer and Mime should possess certain Spiritual qualities. In my opinion, you must be a Praiser, Worshipper, Anointed, Dedicated and Committed, have a Heart for Christ, be Holy Ghost filled, a Prayer Warrior, Study your bible daily, attend Church Service and Bible Study on a regular basis, know the word and its meaning of ministering in dance & mime, to train and develop other members in the ministry.
Purpose for our Praise Dance & Mime Ministry Here At
East Bethel MBC
~ To minister to the saved and unsaved that they may be delivered and set free from their bondages, to tear down the strongholds and set the atmosphere for a breakthrough.
~ To provide a “Holy” Dance and open the doors for Praise and Worship.
~ To open the eyes of the people and show them it’s ok to praise God openly and boldly and not be ashamed. We’re here to usher in the Holy Spirit, to let his presence come forth so that there may be Healing and Deliverance.
~ To “Minister” the dance instead of “Dancing” the dance.
~ To provide a Holy atmosphere for those who are called to freely come forth and take their rightful place as a Praise Dancer and Mime.
~ To allow the Anointed of the Holy Spirit to use us as his worthy vessel.
All ministries have a Heart for Christ and take what we do here at East Bethel seriously. You are Welcome to Come by and see us minister unto the Lord on 2nd , 3rd, and 4th, Sunday’s.
Your Spirit will truly be Blessed, that you would want to be a part of a ministry that is not just growing in numbers but growing Spiritually Mind, Body and Soul, and led by God.
